I run my blog here while supplementing from my YouTube channel and SoundCloud, as well as contributing to the TeamICO FANDOM Wiki–all in my spare time.
Why am I writing this blog?
I love it when I help others better appreciate something. Many who talk to me and find my blog aren’t gamers! I largely don’t consider myself one either, even as much as I tell my friends and family about the latest thing I tried in PC emulation. I get so enthusiastic knowing that people from different backgrounds enjoy my analyses and adventures. I also really like how my blog has become a bridge of sorts between the world of very hard-core fans of Fumito Ueda’s games and, those just casually enjoying them for their majestic scenery. Interestingly, it’s also become a bridge for those who never even heard about TeamICO before, much less the dedicated community behind it.
This blog is for me to have fun, honestly. I use it as a place away from the stress of life. It’s a place for me to document what I learn as I go. This goes for whatever I run across in the videogames I discuss. It also applies to my ever-expanding journey through the fan-base and their emulation, software modulation, hacking, data-mining, modding, and remake-ing efforts. I may not be directly helping to restore cut colossi or push updates about it to social media. But I am stoked to try and learn what I can and help document the process for generations to come. Time will tell how far I actually get on this, though!

About the blog’s title
“Epilogue ~ Those Who Remain ~” is a name taken from Kō Ōtani’s music for Shadow of the Colossus. Standing as the penultimate piece of the soundtrack’s narrative, it covers both the climax and aftermath, doing so through a thoughtful reprise of the opening theme.
